Nancy Fitzgerald, who often signs her work as Nancy Breed, using her family name, Is a graduate of Middlebury College In Vermont, where she majored In Fine Arts. Nancy, who lives In Owls Head, taught children with special needs In Camden and Thomaston schools for several decades. After her retirement, she turned to her long-time Interest In painting and has studied with a number of Mldcoast artists In workshops and classes devoted to both watercolors and oils. She has been a regular member of the Thursday painting group sessions at the Shevls home, and exhibits with them In Maine. Nancy also shows and sells her work at a cooperative gallery In Boston.
